Virginia is regularly named the “Best State For Business” thanks to our pro-business regulations, diversity of industry, and most important access to qualified talent. The pandemic has upended our workforce as unemployment levels have peaked at triple normal levels and many industries have been brought to their knees. During this time other industries such as technology, financial services, and government contractors continue to thrive keeping the Commonwealth’s economy running.
Join us at this year’s “State of the Workforce” featuring Dr. Megan Healy, Virginia’s Chief Workforce Advisor, who will share with us the impact of the pandemic on Virginia’s labor force and her priorities for recovery. Along with Dr. Healy, we will be joined by Steven Partridge, Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Workforce Innovation, Northern Virginia Community College, for an opportunity to learn how Virginia’s largest community college is preparing our workforce for high demand jobs in information technology and the trades.
