Ambassador Council Spotlight: Deborah Leben
Thank you to Deborah Leben of DL Coaching for being our spotlight and for serving on the Ambassador Council!
What is your favorite part of being an Ambassador?
My favorite part of being an Ambassador is being an advocate for businesses and fellow Chamber members by sharing insights, concerns, and feedback from the business community with Chamber leadership, and contributing to positive change within the County.
What makes your business unique in your industry?
My business is unique in the industry through the knowledge, skills, and experiences I gained throughout my career in government, academia, and nonprofits, along with my strategic partnerships and collaborations with businesses and organizations to enhance my offerings and value to my customers.
How has Chamber membership benefitted your business?
One benefit is the authenticity and responsiveness of the Chamber team. As a business owner, I appreciate their intentionality in fostering community engagement through networking, special appreciation and recognition events, education, advocacy, representation where it matters most, and developing partnerships across the County.
What is your best advice to new Members so they can take full advantage of their membership?
Attend Chamber events! Take advantage of networking opportunities by attending events regularly. Events may include mixers, business breakfasts, workshops, committees, awards ceremonies, and LeadShare. Then, take note of what works best for you and your business. Don’t be shy – be proactive in introducing yourself to other members and building relationships.
What do you like about doing business here in Loudoun County?
Loudoun County is a thriving small business community, hands down. The County has a significant number of locally owned businesses, shops, restaurants, and service providers at our fingertips! From my experience, the County’s support for small businesses and consistent growth creates a favorable environment for entrepreneurship and innovation.
