Ahhh, you’ve finally made it to retirement. Finally, time to do all the things you’ve always wanted to do: relax, spend more time with family/friends, travel, and best of all: no responsibilities. Yes, the golden years will be fantastic! Relish in the time you have worked so hard for over the years!

While this can be one of your life’s best times, it comes with a whole new set of challenges.

There are situations and/or things you can plan for, but we often think of them as one big single event rather than getting into the details. But where do you turn? Who should you reach out to? How do I know this is the right solution or the right business? Shouldn’t there be a group of professionals that can help you solve these questions?

As luck would have it, YOU DO! We’ve already found the experts!

The Senior Resource Partners (SRP) is a LeadShare group of the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce.

The goal of this group is to help guide and direct you, family members, and/or friends to get the right service for you or them.

This group truly cares for the individual’s health and well-being. Therefore, it runs deeper than just submitting referrals to one another. We want this person to get the best care possible!

For us, learning and communicating with each other is the foundation for us to understand and feel confident in passing a person’s info to the next business within our group. We know the care they are going to receive will be the best in the industry.

The members of SRP work really well together. Most of the members already work within the senior industry in some capacity, so the referrals just come naturally. Through regular communication, we often find out about a project or problem they’re working on so it’s easy for us to recommend another member of the group. We already know our members are top-notch in their own field, so making those recommendations makes us feel good about helping our clients reach the next level.

The SRP is fortunate in the aspect that we’re focused on a single industry. Being so focused allows us to concentrate on the seniors and give them options of where to turn when something comes up.

The patient already knows the business we’re in is dedicated to helping the aging population, so our recommendations hold value. Plus, nothing can match the reward of having a favorable experience with one of the other members of the group. You’ve helped out two friends! One is the client, who was able to get the care they need, and the other friend is the member of your group, who can continue to do the thing they love to do.

As much as we’re able to help the community as we all get older, we are still looking for new folks to complete the group.

If your business works with seniors in some way or another, we would welcome your visit! While we have our own list of preferred businesses to become members, some of our best members were not on the desired, unfilled seats. A few of our sought-after seats are skilled nursing/rehab facility, fitness/nutritionist, brain training, reverse mortgage, medical/healthcare professionals (audiologist, dentists, etc), funeral director, skilled homecare, and a few others.

All are welcome to join our meeting! I’m sure all businesses touch the senior community in some way or another. Please help us expand our knowledge of what is available to our seniors. OR perhaps you have solutions for us to run our businesses more smoothly so that we’re able to concentrate on making the lives of seniors better. Either way, visit us the first and third Thursday of each month at Waltonwood Independent Living, 44141 Russell Branch Pkwy, Ashburn, VA. While our meeting times are from 9 am to 10 am, please arrive a little early so that you can find our meeting room downstairs (the receptionist will help guide you). We look forward to learning more about your business, which will allow us to make the best referrals to our clients.
