The Loudoun Community Leadership Awards honor individuals and organizations who demonstrate superior commitment, investment, and effective leadership in addressing the needs of the Loudoun County community and its citizens.
BUSINESS CATEGORIES
Outstanding Community Leader of the Year (Large Business)
Presented to a Loudoun County business, of more than 100 employees, for its outstanding contributions to serve the needs of the citizens and institutions of Loudoun County. This award honors the contribution of both the business and its employees to the Loudoun community.
Outstanding Community Leader of the Year (Small Business)
Presented to a Loudoun County business, with less than 100 employees, for its outstanding contributions to serve the needs of the citizens and institutions of Loudoun County. This award honors the contribution of both the business and its employees to the Loudoun community.
INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES
DEIA Leader of the Year (New!)
Presented to a Loudoun County business leader for their outstanding contributions in furthering Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA) work in the Loudoun community and/or their workplace.
Executive Leader of the Year
Presented to a Loudoun County business executive or business owner for their outstanding contributions to serve the needs of the citizens and institutions of Loudoun County.
Nonprofit Executive Leader of the Year
This Award is presented to a Loudoun County-based professional nonprofit executive for their outstanding contributions to serve the quality of life needs of the citizens and institutions of Loudoun County.
Young Professional Leader of the Year
Presented to a Loudoun County-based business young professional (21 – 40 years old) for exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to serve the needs of the citizens and institutions of Loudoun County.
SELECTION CRITERIA
(These criteria are not listed in any priority order)
- Quality of Commitment/Contributions to the Loudoun Community:
a. Financial
b. In-Kind
c. Volunteer hours (themselves or their staff) - Length of Service: Has the applicant demonstrated sustained commitment to leadership and service?
- Leadership qualities: Has the applicant:
a. Served in a leadership capacity
b. Played a role in the creation of a project or non-profit organization
c. Effectively mobilized volunteers, partners and resources to serve the Loudoun Community - Role modeling: How has the applicant inspired others to engage in community service?
- Impact on the Loudoun Community.
- Innovation: How has the applicant utilized unique and creative approaches to meeting needs?
